5-Phased Partnering Process

This course teaches the following five phases with an emphasis on the first four:

• Building a Strategic Partnering Plan

• Engaging Partner Candidates

• Bargaining/Negotiating the Agreement

• Closing the Agreement

• Operationalizing the Partnership

Participants will be introduced to several concepts, tools, and strategies that will help them more effectively manage and execute each phase. The course contains over 6 hours of video content. Approximately half of the videos are topical lessons that explain key concepts and tools, while the remaining videos include expert interviews with international partnering and business growth thought-leaders.

An underlying purpose of this course is to teach tools and techniques that will accelerate the speed to execute partnership agreements. By using proven tools and a disciplined process to ideate, negotiate, and architect agreements, participants can reduce the cycle times by at least 50%.

The bulk of the content is focused on pre-contract signature activities and the successful practices that leaders should know and implement. At the successful completion of this course, participants will have a newly found appreciation for the value that partnerships can bring to organizations as well as understanding the major contributors to long-term partnership success.

This course is organized into a 6-week curriculum; however, participants are encouraged to complete the coursework at their own pace (100% self-paced). The course contains over 8 hours of video content, approximately half of the videos are topical lessons that explain key concepts, tools, processes, and strategies while the remaining videos include expert interviews with international partnering and business growth thought-leaders.
