Greater KC Writing Project  

Established in 1983, the Greater Kansas City Writing Project (GKCWP) is one of nearly 200 university-based National Writing Project sites. We are a Pre-K - College community of educators and lifelong learners working in conjunction with the University of Central Missouri. We seek to improve the teaching of writing and improve learning in our schools. We offer teaching and writing classes for teachers and young people in Kansas City and the surrounding area.

A two-week writing camp that helps high school students to transform personal stories into civically engaged public arguments.
There will be an Open Mic Performance on July 19, 2018 from 6-8 pm. Camp is offered daily M-F from 9 - Noon.
